What is Suboxone?

 

Suboxone contains a combination of buprenorphine and naloxone. Buprenorphine is an opioid medication. An opioid is sometimes called a narcotic. Naloxone is a special narcotic drug that reverses the effects of other narcotic medicines.

Suboxone is used to treat narcotic (opioid) addiction/dependence.

What is Addiction?
 
Addiction is a disease that affects your brain and behavior. Addiction causes you to obsessively seek out the drug, even when the drug use causes behavior, health, or relationship problems.

Opium, codeine, heroin, hydrocodone, hydromorphone, fentanyl, methadone, morphine, oxycodone, oxymorphine, paregoric, sufentanil, & tramadol

How does Suboxone work?
